Liam McShane First bit of Doctrines I've really listened to, and I like it. There's a lightness to it, but it's still gritty and raw. Punky jamzzz Favorite track: Heads Like Empty Cans.

xrenxcorex First EP was pure Replacements worship. This is something else entirely. Alcopop-punk is a thing now. Very good.

Climbing Yggdrasil (Everybody loves Ray Kay) MMLXXXIV, Nobody loves me The family name, now scattered in flames The ultimate self, dependent on no one else Born from an iron womb, intelligence in bloom O’ whats in a name? We’re laughin’ at urine stalls, kewpie dolls, binary walls, gender roles. The future is gonna come The singularity is gonna come Because I am a pattern I am a pattern Rid me of this flesh, skin and bones, dying soul Because it’s not enough to be thinking straight and lucid men have no faith Rid me of these roles, obligations, limitations Theres a beautiful view on the mountain top And I’m stuck here carrying rocks And we all fall, we all fall, before we get to the top. Nature is old, nature is dying We’re the grey goo with an appetite for fine dining Now we think for the future, where the past loved the present Science is forever effervescent People accepted death like it was inherited Though we’re not quite there we’re taking measures to prevent it The future will come, intelligence is inevitable If you refuse the plight your no better than a Luvvite Now we’re all separate people with parts for donation We cured the trend for social stratification You see when you’re born in a box All you inherit is a box Rid me of this flesh, skin and bones, dying soul Because it’s not enough to be thinking straight and lucid men have no faith Rid me of these roles, obligations, limitations Theres a beautiful view on the mountain top And I’m stuck here carrying rocks And we all fall, we all fall, before we get to the top. Im Jacob, 21, yet I’m crippled with debt So I work all the time, pay for the governments quest, And they haven’t even cured this illness they call death yet. “I know a way out, If you want a way out?” Who is this? And what does ze want? All bearded in a dress and curiously blonde Ze said “my names Stevie G, but people call me Lady Gargoyle” ‘Rid you of your debt, Rid you of your flesh’ Read the text on a military poster ‘Sign up right now to a new government scheme. No work, no debt, you’ll be half man half machine.’ “Right now, we should go right now!” It was all so enlightening, that human+ lure I said ‘Well why should I trust you? you’re neither broken nor poor’ Ze said “Well I’m dying too, as such there one thing I’m sure... The trans-human condition, is a noble position, that follows tradition from Gilgamesh to Science-Fiction!”

Heads Like Empty Cans Metal in body. Flesh in mind. The golden ratio, beauty is mine. Tick tock, Tick tock, Like a bomb and I stop. See my tracks evenly spaced? It’s a march not a walk Now I’m more than a human, and I don’t punch the clock It’s what I wanted, and a war’s what I got. Out in the fields, we kick heads like empty cans Ze says “It doesn’t matter if they die” I see mother and child face the barrel of Gargoyle’s smile There must be something in my eye Like bear and cub, two animals in love Compared to Gargoyles ugly face, So I shoot it, I killed HIM, I’m a turncoat

Part 3 (Jacob meets the Luvvites) Taken in, taken home A deserter, a rat, a snake and a mole I followed the urge not to feel so alone To the Luvvites ‘The people of skin and bone’. And they say “A way, a way, a way to be, a way, a way to be and let be, And we haven’t got long, But that’s ok, we make a point of dying.” The sick are dying, their fathers are crying, I cant grasp the notion their tears are implying. I’m trying, I’m learning There’s a raison d’etat and a raison d’etre The former ‘to live’ and the latter ‘to love’ Well it’s funny enough I’ve been unlucky in both. And the sky doth part, it all makes sense I’ve lived in a world void of vas deferens Life’s not the answer, Well Ray Kay was wrong You don’t know what you got till it’s gone Family at home, Family across seas Death’s but a door, and a lover’s the key Let it be me, Let it be me. I’m falling down, I’m falling down, from the tree, from the tree. Together, young brother Showed me a picture over 90 years old Four generations, sat on a couch Bonded by name, by blood, by love I wanna climb down the tree and dig through the dirt I long for history and it’s starting to hurt No brother of mine, but a lover in time, I lean to go in closer I purse my lips and ask for a kiss but this boy won’t be my lover. He spat on the ground, hands up to the sky Implored the clouds “Please do forgive him, Jake knows no what he’s done or how it’s wrong, How the doctrines forbid it.” I say say Who? What? Where? Why? When? Those doctrines are full of shit, those doctrines are full of shit. You don’t know what you’ll get till you’re gone, You crave paradise but you’re scared that’s your lot. It feels like I’m inhaling sounds and exhaling clouds.

Happily (N)Ever After I can’t love you, you’re losing faith in truth, I can’t trust you, you’re mystified by youth.
Hard to feel things, stuck in the middle.
